SMART #6 sedan prototype spotted testing in China

It is reported that it will be offered in BEV as well as PHEV or REEV form. No information regarding the car's exterior dimensions, but it appears to be in the vicinity of the MMA CLA or future C-Class EQ sedans. And it may very well turn out to be visually far more attractive.

A very "smart" move by Smart, something I always wanted MINI to do as an obvious way to diversify its lineup if they got the design right.

Now I'm surprised Smart continues to invest, considering it's a huge sales failure in Europe and even worse in China, where it ranks 60th among brands, despite having a completely new model lineup.

Now I'm surprised Smart continues to invest, considering it's a huge sales failure in Europe and even worse in China, where it ranks 60th among brands, despite having a completely new model lineup.

Indeed, it's a pity that SMART is not enjoying far more market success here in the EU. Bloody nice cars, the #1, #3 and #5 IMHO. And having spent a little bit of time with a #1 BRABUS left me very impressed.

True, the ease with which the Chinese operate shouldn't be underestimated

This is a great new addition for the Smart range. A saloon should do better in the Chinese market, interesting development indeed and I look forward to seeing more pics and details of the interior. I am very surprised why SMART latest cars are not selling well in China or in Europe. Is there some bad stigma about their cars? The #5 is a phenomenal SUV, the performance of the Brabus version is blistering and it looks great with a practical and good looking interior that is every bit as good or even better than the CLA interior.

The prototype has very similar shape and proportions with the CLA.

Have a look at the Zeekr 7X, it basically shares its architecture with the Smart #5 SUV.

I’m sure the Smart #6 is twinned with a Zeekr.

I find it very odd that so many Mercedes styling elements find their way onto Smart, sometimes before Mercedes themselves adopts them.
