SL65 AMG Black Series Thread

I'd have to agree. To confess, I am a german car lover but sports cars have to weigh at or around 3,000 pounds or less and they really should have the engines in the middle - or in the back.
So I just don't quite get a two-seat, 2-ton, $300K+, 12-cylinder, 5-speed automatic, non-carbon brakes, GT. But I didn't get the Mercedes McLaren either. And, as someone else stated, the bodywork, if done by some aftermarket firm would be deemed inappropriate.
But the carbon work is beautiful, I'm sure it runs the autobahn with the best of 'em, and they'll sell everyone they make.

Ye i see wot u mean. From a purist sports point of view. And i admire cars like dat. D way i see it however, if it accelerates like sports, brakes like sports, performs like sports and most importantly handles like sports then it IS sports. And my guess is the BS will do all that very well. Guess its one of the marvels of german engineering

The red images look photoshopped. I would assume the red would look more like the one on some press SL63s, which would be much better. This is an S-Class-like type of red, which is to say, uninspiring.

Also, I heard somewhere that the interior will be exclusively black, which is kind of dissapointing.

I would dig the BS in a black exterior and black/red interior with red CF accents, and with much more suede as it is there now (perhaps a Brabus interior package). Also, blacked out wheels and red-painted calipers.

Red will probably be the color to have with this model, as it will show all the curves, will be an atypical color for AMG/MB, and it will allow good contrast with the black-only interior.
