The 190 was the best, the only thing that disturbed me about it was the different shaped passenger side mirror...WTF?

lOl Bum-man.. I remember that.. The W124 E-Class possessed the same design. I always wondered why MB did that.

I prefer the lip-spoiler to the raised wing. But either way - this thing is just pure madness. Stupendous - and a fittingly ultimate incarnation of what has to be one of the most quintessential model ranges in Mercedes' history. Merc and SL: unmatched. Period.

I guess it means carbon-ceramic: composite brakes!

If I am not mistaken, AMG call their brakes composite brakes because the disc and the centre hub is made out of different material. The disc is steel while the centre hub section is made out of aluminium.

Just came back from work guys and have been browsing the entire thread. When I first saw the thread title my heart beat got bumped up. Then when I saw the imagery I shock my head and after I watched the car in the motion I almost busted a nut. The sound is similar to a 747 jumbo jet/vacuum cleaner. I don't think you guys are understanding what's before your eyes, this car is going to look unreal on the road. Can someone please food poison me, I'm not worthy of living on the same planet as this car.

To be honest I didn't expect the car to be this attractive. The aero kit has soft lines making the car look more gracious than the DTM. It will be very attractive in the metal and I'm already dying to see it in black or red, the car is unreal.

Speaking of the price is far more than I ever could have imagines, 320k is a whole lot of money for an SL, close to the price of a used CGT. No doubt the car will sell out anyways. It's not just a car, it's a collectors item and probably one of the most brutal and exclusive cars Mercedes have launched in a long while.

The only negative aspect of the car was brought up by Sasha, and that is the gear knob, quite imaginative for such a brutal creation. MB should at least have prettied it up a little.

This is one of those cars that look really good in red. I did expect more Alcantara/suede trimming inside, i.e. all over where there is no chrome, aluminum or carbon.
