How do those performance figures rank against other supercars then?

Slightly faster to 200 km/h than a GT2 or a Gallardo LP-560, a Corvette ZR1 is probably going to be faster.

this car is just insane! Love everything about it...

THis is what I most admire about MB which BMW lacks. They'll imagine something crazy but they will actually put it together and bring it into production!

When you say it like that..I see your point..but lets not forget..this car costs 300k € plus..and I really hope AMG division has find a way to make this car useable on road and track combined..I remember tests between SL55 and Brabus SV12 where SL55 was dominating Barbus on every single aspect except top speed and acceleration..
But,yeah..car is insane no matter how you look on it..

Yes I love that too. And it's especially the fact since Dr.Z.! He really understands what MB is about, and is reaally restoring MB's greatness!

This car reminds me of the craziness of a 190 Evolution 2...

Right now, I am digging it even more than a Scuderia or a GT2. And way better than the SLR.

This new SL65 AMG Black Series is the BEST looking AMG car EVER, in my opinion. It even makes the CLK DTM AMG and CLK63 AMG Black Series look 2nd rate. Does it make me want it over my favourite supercar F430 Scuderia??? Don't know yet.

Looking forward to some performance tests of this new baby.

I think the fact that the 190 had almost perfect proportions really helped too.

Looks great in motion, sounds ok too. A highly tuned, 580hp version of the AMG would sound much better though. Still though, this is a historic production car for AMG/Mercedes.
