Wow the E63 manages to look better even in that boring silver..imagine a Black one with optional 20 wheels!
Why BMW never try to modernize the look of the exhaust a little it..IMO it's the weakest part of the new M5..and that interior needs some eye candy colors and trims..

M5 hands down, both interior and exterior. Can't understand how people would choose the E:s interior over the 5er:s. IMO the interior in the E is too messy, just like in every MB except the new SLK and SLS.
Exteriorwise, both are very nice, M5 being more dynamic while the Benz being more classic, don't like the exhaustpipes on the Benz though, nor the sideprofile. Anyway, you can't choose wrong in this pole.

I don´t know which engine is better. But talking about the design of both cars, the M5 is miles ahead IMO. This is basically because of the basis. The standard 5er looks much better than the E, much better balanced. And then, the M tratment this time is better than the AMG one. I don´t like the E63 front end to be that squarish. The S63 or specially the CLS63 AMG front is way nicer than the E63.

Somehow, to me the E63 looks like a tuned luxury sedan. The M5 looks like a real performance car.
I don't know why the E63 gives me this impression because the C63 doesn't, and for that reason I would choose the M5.
There is something so fresh and multi-dimensional about the F10's design. There are no extra lines on the side. Everything on that car makes it what it is, and if something was taken away it would no longer be the same M5.
On the E63, the front bumper, LEDs, and wheels seem "tacked-on," again, very strange, because IMO it is the exact opposite with the normal 5-series and E-Class. IMO on the normal 5-series the tail lights seem misplaced, the front bumper is awkward, and the headlights are just weird. The M5 fixes all of these problems so brilliantly.
But we're talking something entirely different with the CLS63...

Yikes, not even close in that pic. The E makes the F10 look 10 years old.
In reality, both of these cars are prime, and they're so different that it will split decisions every time.

Note, the picture of the E is not a real car. You can clearly see its photoshoped since it doenst look real and the ligtning is fake.
