I don't think that the facelift improved the 7 series much. It was a fantastic car all along except the design of course. Now that the design was partially fixed , 7 series can take it's rightfull place as one of the best cars on the world.

7 series didn't need an facelift to upgrade it cause the quality/handling/comfort/performance ect. was top notch anyway. The design was improved with the facelift on the other hand.

The S-Class has the cleanest interior design!
I give the Audi 2nd place and the BMW 3rd. The 7er is too busy. I-Drive
is rather useless with that botton happy dash and overly complex controls.

At first everyone was moaning that the important buttons should not be in the idrive, such as radio and climate control. There is the climate control right there and now people say that it's too complicated?! Because really, that's all that's in the middle console.

I hope you meant that the Idrive is overly complex, because if you say that the buttons are overly complex, then I'm lost for words.
