R8 Saw the R8 tonight!

I went to the Brisbane International Motorshow tonight and after attending the BMW event for the launch for 3er convertible (nothing like free drinks and food!) I made my way over to the Audi stand and something caught my eye and then I was like

and then i was like

It was the R8!!!!

And then I was

It was black, and all I can say is Wow wow wow. Astonishing proportions. Immaculate detail. I love the car. I had just been past all the Ferrari's and then saw the R8 and it was just amazing.

Good work Audi!

On a sidenote, the motorshow didn't have Mercedes or Porsche.. lol.. Not very international if you ask me!

Yeah my digital SLR is in for service so no pics :-( But all i can say is its stunning... I think it will be AU$250-$300k when it goes on sale in september. (Aston Martin AMV8 is AU$250k)

(AU$250k = US$190k approx)

Hi Neesh, I also went to the Motorshow and quite frankly was quite underwhelmed by the R8. Nothing about the design or detailing made me go WOW...and it should for the price. The LED execution on the front was also a bit gimicky.

The TT on the other hand is a stunning piece of work for its market.

At least we agree on one thing.. that TT is absolutely stunning. And the interior is gorgeous. Although I think its a bit of step down inside from the previous one (which I have)

by the way i read in a mag that there is a option called ambient light for the engine bay..wich lights it up at night

can anyone confirm

and is there any pic??

i believe i have read that here before but i could be wrong.
That would be insanly cool having the engine bay light up though
