No thanks, I think this new S65 will outperform the Bentley. The W220 aldeady did and this new 65 has improved performance bits over the W220 65.

10,000 is nothing for someone who`s going to buy something like this anyway.
why not throw in an extra 10 more for the 65.

Not only speed times. If you read the article the new S65 has improved brakes and the ABC suspension has also been improved by some 60% over the previous version. I`m more than sure the S65 will come better equiped than the Bentley off the lot!

Look here ,you are fully aware that all people dont rank performance as no1. Im sure the Bentley is fast enough for the average driver and those who buy a Bentley simply want something else.

With all this said, personally I would choose S65 over a Bentley but I fully understand those who choose a Bentley instead.

We don`t want to turn this into a heated debate or get madd. My main point was that the 65 offers more for the money over the Bentley than just speed times. I think thats quit logical. People do have their opinions and different reasons which vehicle to choose and thats fine, Peace.

If you buy AMG performance is very high up on your list.. otherwise just get the S600.. therfore like i said before compare the 600 to the bentley.. not this..

You are entitled to say so but apparently not everyone see it that way. Correct me if Im wrong but Bentley cost 10000 dollars more than S65? If so why would they look at a S600 is a much cheaper car.

cause it is the naturall competitor for the bentley.. or the closest you can come.. both have full focus on luxury and have V12´s and are soft and comfortable.. engines are silent and so on..
A S65 is a very diffrent story.. i find it hard to belive that ppl cross shop S65´s and bentleys..

People arent always logical. If they have the money for a Bentley and they dont want a Mercedes, then they buy the Bently. If they want a S600 they choose between 760i, A8 6.0, thats the most logical but then again people arent always logical.

Bentley is a ultra-luxury-car just like S-class? S65 is a superfast car but still a ultra-luxury-car.
Comparing a Bentley to a S65 feels more logical than a M5 to a S450. Im certain that the majority choose Between M5, E55 or RS6 and not S450. Ask Nevadajack if he is choosing between a M5 and a S-class

Having this discussion at all is ridicolous, everyone make their own choices and its not alwyas the obvious competitiors they choose between. If people choose a Bentley over S65 then let them do so.

I havent flipped a coin. I still stand by that all choices isnt logical, you fail to agree with me on that.

Like I said before, people arent always logical. S65 is a superfast car but the size is similar to Flying? Flying Spurt and S65, both are ultra-luxury-cars? Arent they?

As a person who actually "shops" and BUYS these cars I'll tell you how I approach my decission (as other people I know do) .

If I am spending TOP dollar, I will go for each manufacturers top of the line car... I also compare that to what I can buy for a certain a,ount of $$, otherwise I would have to compare the s65 to the ARNAGE!.

So if my choices in the $180,000.00and $200,000.00 are the s65, the s600 and the Bentley flying spur, I go for the car that gives me the most luxury and performance..."bang for the buck".

Remember I will be driving this to business and social functions so optimum performance is not the deciding factor...good but not the determining factor.

I think Mercedes has some work to do with this new model before it settles itself into whatever it's going to end up being

I am extremely dissapointed as I waited a long time for this car , hoping it would be as unique as my old (1998 s500) ...Now I trully dont care much for any of these cars.

I'll probably buy one ...I have to. maybe the bmw760 and wait for Mercedes to improve on this model (I am a mercedes fan )

The Bentey is beautifull but NOT a daily driver which is why I only consider German cars.
