Seems like people are forgetting price here, the S65 is double the price of the M5! Also it is a class above!

As long as you're talking low RPMs and straightline then I guess you're right.

Remember guys street driving is quit differest from tracks. It all depends on how good your talants are! (these guys arn`t journalists) If an S65 driver knows the cars` feel he can easily outgum an M5 driver who might be a little timid. Same goes for the M5!

Athletics just don`t depend on the car, it`s how well you know the feel of the car.

and for almost any everyday driving situation the S65 blows the doors of a M5..
so this battle is lost..and you will keep on loosing it until BMW come up with a M7.. until that BMW ARE NOT the grand daddy of performance sedans.. im sorry..

To be honest, I think the Maybach 57S is more of a feet of engineering than the S65, so that is the king of performance sedans!

What I'm trying to say is it's a lot bigger than an S class, so for it to go these speeds and be that fast is more amazing than the S class!

For sure the MM needs a F/L soon to get the new features from the new S class!

I'm sorry too, but they ARE "the grand daddy" (lol) of MID- size sedans. Noone should compare S65 with M5; although they are sedans, they're two very different cars. Both best in their class, of course...

WORD !!! One of them are also more realistic for me to own someday. The other is so damn expensive I will never afford one. And its not like someone is thinking which one should I buy today, hmm, M5 or S65!?!. Two different cars.
