S65 AMG Cont'd Thread 2

I really hope Mercedes incorporates the fender design from that F1 Safety CLK into the next generation production car. I mean those fender really work there.

On a different note, a queston...has WorldCarFans gone on strike or something???

Yaz, did you see anything about the CLS550, ML/R 450/550 or CLK550 models at the NY show???

Thnx alot for thos pics man.. but something is wierd with that S65.. no paddles and a wood steering wheel.. ?? AMG never offered wood steering wheel.. maybe its a option..and the wood steering only comes with buttons instead of paddles..could be..

Yea, I noticed the wooden steering wheel too. Like you said, maybe that's why they got the buttons. The paddles are much better than the buttons IMO.

The CLS550 (I sat in it) was there, so was the E550 and the SL550. I don't think I seen the CLK550, and only the ML63 and R63 were on the main floor. No other 450's other than the GL450.
The rest of the MB trucks (ML's, R's, GL's and the G) are downstairs, I didn't get a chance to go down and check them out.
My roommate and cousin want to go sometime this week, I'll try to go with them and I'll check for you :usa7uh:

Yes I got the email...thanks for sharing the pics!!! Amazing Mercedes has said nothing about a CLS550 and it is sitting right there. All that is left is the CLK550 and whatever engine they're going to use in the M/R. The SL, E, CLS, S, and even CLKs look awesome. This is going to be a hella year for MB. I see even the R63 was there too.

nope its a mystery..:D.. but trust me..all pics i find will be posted here ASAP.. this thread might be the best place for all S65 pics on the web:D

Great pix Artist, these wheels are rather dark. I wonder how thay would look
on a white S65.

the light plays a huge role on how dark these gunmetall rimms look.. i have the old 65 AMG rimms those on the SL.. they go from very dark almost blackish to light grey..depending on angle of light and sun.. really cool:D
i guess its the same deal with these..
i reckon they will look amazing on anycolour.. but belive me Graphite grey car..and those rimms..is the ultimate:D

Gotcha!! I didn`t know light played a role, thats pretty cool, Thanks.
I think those would look pretty cool on a white S65.

Damn thats some nice pics.. thnx alot man.. my mailbox isnt full:D

........
Acceleration is rocket-launcher (0-to-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds for the SL, 4.4 for the S). Braking is wall-of-mattresses. Cornering is turntable-flat. The exhaust note is symphonic (Wagner, of course).
......
King of all cars:D..

This is the first Mercedes I'd like to have in any other color than black. Black hides all the lines on this beauty and those muscular wheel arches. Maybe it was the lighting.
I'd take it in silver with those gunmetal rims the Artist posted :D

yeah man im starting to feel the same..maybe its the lightning like you say on those black pics..but so far silver looks better..

PS
Graphite grey would be the most awesomme i guess:D

Thanks for the pics, they are new to me:). The car looks great but I still feel that the rims are too small for it. I would want my S to have atleast 20 or 21 inch rims.

well the gunmetall ones are 19 and those in the sideshot are 20´s the damn car is so huge..everything looks small:D..

PS
The pics are brand new:D

Lovely, jussssssssssssssssssst lovely. I'd consider one for the duration of the E65/66's lifespan til the F01/2 launch.:usa7uh:

Personally I hate when big cars have tiny rims. Although 19inch rims are the ideal for the S for comfort reasons, 22s would be the ultimate size for good looks.

You are right 22s might be too big but the ones in the picture don't look good at all and neither does the AF front bumper. I do think that nice 22s might look very good on a black S with AMG-package. I'm sure we'll get to see one soon. Its just a matter of time before ones of these flag ships appears in a music video.

lol there are like 4 s classes in mariah careys new video with snoop dogg and pharell:D
