So the pattern is definitely we get a teaser every other day. So we won't get one tomorrow, but will on Wednesday, etc.
There will be a teaser every two days before the unveiling: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, and the unveiling on Thursday.
There will also be an update with the exact time of the unveiling very soon.
That is what is planned for now.

I am fine with this kind of teaser campaign. Not too far out from its debut where it's annoying, just enough to whet the appetite and keep our interests piqued without revealing too much.

It also doesn't hurt that it's a Bugatti with 16 flippin' cylinders! Don't know how effective this method would be on something that wasn't so anticipated.

Oh YES it's definitely getting real now if you put them all together! Damn!

Prob 2-3 more teasers till the 20th. The glimpse of this transparent speedometer is insane though, looks like a F.P. Journe-esque time piece almost.

Couldn’t really tell if it’s the speedometer… if it is, then I’m quite surprised they didn’t go full digital like.Bentley or Rolls did

The main instrument resembles a watch movement which is unsuitable for safety critical component such as a speedometer. Some things are not suitable for automotive application which require extreme levels of durability and serviceability over 10-30 years.

Furthermore I think the right and left screens will be multi functional displays for infotainment and drivetrain stats.

I know the image looks digital - but you need to take into account that it's an image of a digital screen, that is itself showing a digital 3D model of the interior.

I would be very surprised if the instrument cluster was digital and all the analogue dials and clockwork-like elements were just an UI graphic. That would very much go against what Bugatti is aiming for with this car and what has been said about the interior. Plus what would be the point of it? If you were to make it digital, you might as well go for a clear graphic, not show analogue stuff that could have been there, but isn't.

I am not sure what you are on about with the "safety critical" and "extreme levels of durability". Analogue dials have been the standard since forever, but now they suddenly can't do them?

No, the instrument cluster will be analogue. Only the small speed readout on the bottom of the main instrument will be digital. And likely there will be a screen somewhere to the right of the instrument cluster for the usual infotainment stuff.

There is no reason to think the cogwheels have actual complication, like your mechanical watch. It's most likely there just for effect. Also, I'm sure Bugatti engineers are clever enough to use some sort of slip clutch on the speedometer actuator so that the whole thing doesn't stop working should the cogs become stuck for whatever reason... if it's really such a critical issue.
I agree with Bridster, IMO it's all analogue (unless the dials are convertible like on a Zenvo).

Are you saying that I'm a pleb who should dream a little bit bigger?

Fair enough. If the mechanical complications are digital then they would easily be copied by the Fiat for Mini which would make that aspect of the interior comparable to other cars. If the mechanical movements are suspended in transmission fluid and made by the same supplier that getrag and ZF use, there's no reason why they couldn't last a life time?

There is no reason to think that just because the dial will feature some extra cogs, it suddenly needs to be manufactured by ZF to work. The cogs don't even necessarily need to be functional (although it would be a lot cooler if they were), but even if they were, what makes you think they wouldn't be durable enough? You linked some mechanical watches, but you know that those watches can last like 100 years, right? And if you wear a mechanical watch, you also wear it when you are driving your car, where it's subjected to the same conditions.

In either case, everything we've seen from Bugatti so far, including the speedometer blueprint, the latest teaser, even them saying that the interior will be "next level", suggests that the instrument cluster will be analogue. So it's a bit curious to flat out state that it will be digital. That's all I am saying.

Fair enough. The dials will be analogue. When EVs are commoditising acceleration, you gotta do something different and a NA V16 and mechanical watch dials that would make the CEO of Breguet shed tears will be it!
