RUF Ruf Rt12

Building bespoke supercars on proprietary chassis since 1939. Famed for the "Yellowbird" and modern carbon-fiber icons like the CTR Anniversary and SCR. Official: RUF
That RUF is amazing, that CL65 was a serious run. But still crazy money for such a car. The look really needs to be more exotic though. Looks like a simple 911.

Wow a whole thread about me :D..-- haha .. thnx alx for watching my back:D

well folks this car is insane.. and at that price its a freakin bargain.. it will kill about everything on the road.. i cant justify a zonda against this beacuse of the price..
but lets say the both was about the same price..then i would say
that the zonda looks better.. is more exotic.. is more or less hand made.. and everything in it is made for the engine so it copes with the power on a exellent way..
i dont know how it is with these RUF´s but its basically a ordinary 911 with one hell of a engine and tweaks.. not sure if it can manage the power like the zonda does..

But anyways with that price.. i say that this is one of the sickest things on the planet

PS
I hope you guys realize that this will be any other porsche in the common mans eyes..
And ppl with no interest in cars what so ever can understand that the zonda is something off the richter...:D

its like Gemballa, the chassi is tuned as well.
Gemballa had the record around Norschleife for a while (7.32,52 min)

well in that case.. if you have 250K go nutts :D

Did you know RUF wasnt allowed in Sweden a couple of years ago? Its just recently its allowed in Sweden as well. There will be a meeting soon for some Porsche owners in Gotland were they are going to try the RUF and hopefully they buy one. So dont be surprised if you see one in Göteborg in a near future :D

i agree with the artist on the point that if someone who dosent know about cars and sees these two parked next to eachother they will most likely look at the zonda but is that a good thing  . and another thing if it is in that orange color the ruf will get the atention

wow a ruf in gbg.. well ile race with it on my Mv agusta.. haha:D

The shape of the front air intakes bothers me. The car looks way too happy, there's not enough aggression for such a high-performance machine. Other than that, it's fabulous.

now looking at those pics it does seem to smile the two headlamps and the black part on the front of the hood :eusa_danc its a happy car!!

All those pics look insane Just_Me....

The M5 and M6 look rediculous.

Ruf isnt a flare care but certainly could use some.

It's been one of my favorites since it came out. I'd probably get one in blue or something.

The new RUF Rt 12
The new dimension of driving pleasure

The new dimension of driving pleasure has a name: RUF Rt 12. This high performance sports car is the perfect combination of high end performance and every day use.

Biturbo engines show to be the platform for the next evolutionary step in RUF engine technology. Three different performance steps are available: 530 bhp, 560 bhp and 650 bhp. The 650 bhp 3.8 liter engine is of a new construction, which sets a new benchmark in performance and torque.

2WD is standard but 4WD is available on request.

The aerodynamic characteristics of the car are improved with RUF-developed front - and rear bumpers, rear spoiler and side mirrors. The air intakes for the intercoolers are integrated in the wider rear fenders.

The RUF Rt 12 is launched with the latest evolution of the RUF 5-spoke alloy wheels in a striking 19" design at the front axle and 20" at the rear axle. The brake system has big drilled, ventilated discs and fixed light alloy monobloc callipers. The suspension is engineered for a maximum speed of more than 219 mph.

Available as an option is a special RUF sports suspension, which can be lifted hydraulically into a 50 millimetre higher position in order to get more ground clearance for easier parking and garage entrances.

The interior of the Rt 12 has well known RUF-functionalism. Bucket seats and a handy sports steering wheel provide the best ergonomics for a sporty and non tiring drive. RUF instrumentation with traditional green typeface and "Pepita" cloth in the middle of the bucket seats brings the flair of the 50s and 60s sports cars into a modern cockpit. Aluminium parts and details painted in the body colour provide the mix of classic and modern.

The Rturbo is also available with the latest version of the RUF Integrated Roll Cage (IRC) - leather / alcantara trimmed and very unobtrusive.

We all have a free will to post whereever we want. The reason The Artist was brought up was because someone started to compare the Zonda to the Rt12. And as we all know, The artist has a flaming passion for the Zonda, and so do I. And he is also known for always defending the Zonda whenever needed.
The reason he hasn't posted yet is either a) Not online b) hasn't seen the thread yet or c) has seen it but is preparing a great comment to shut you all up.

Are you artist's secret identity?????

Hmm, for sure this car ain't exotic, hand made, bla, bla, bla, like Zonda is... tht's for sure. But it has a better preformance, better looks (imo of course) and it costs like ...what? Half Zonda? Yeah, one for me please over any other supercar except CGT and Veyron.

:t-cheers:

well if it outperforms a zonda then it out performs the CGT most certainly and mabye even the veyron on track. .so that means you must really like the looks of the CGT and veyron if you want to pay the dubble or 3 dubble :D
