I like the part where he said they were going 217 mph on the Autobahn...Man, that's awesome, I wish I was in there!!! gr8 article, thanks.

The car is really awsome and if you think about it the price isn't that crazy after all. 300k for a car which is that fast isn't bad at all. Of course you can get a CGT but then you will have to pay an additional 150k.

That is an amazing car for sure...

But being its a modified Porsche, its hard to say that, nothing can be faster. If some other sports cars were modified too we might see the same or better for much less....

take the M6 for comparison, 330Km/h. Pretty fast, but its a stock M6 take it too ACS or someone and see what they will do to it....

No denying it the Porsche is unreal, but still its modified not stock.

Yeah it is a modified car but it's till cool. It's really unbelievable how amazingly tunable the 911 is. It seem like you can squezee how much power you want out of it. A car like this really give the 911 lovers the possibility of owning a 911 with the maximum possible power. The RUF RT 12 is sure one of the best modified cars one can buy today. It's awsome. :eusa_clap

The article says they get 650bhp and 642lb-ft out of a 3.8L Flat-6 with twin turbos. Not bad, but - and not to put a dampener on this car - you can get 1000hp on a Nissan Skyline with 2.8L I6 with twin turbos. You just have to tune it up with a bit of care, and some special parts. Rather, if RUF couldn't get that much power out of this thing, I'd be worried.

IMO it's more of an engineering feat to fit all that stuff in the engine bay, and also keep the thing driveable and somewhat production ready.

You can get 1000 hp out of the 3.6 liter biturbo on the last model, but not easily. I'm sure the RT12 is a bit more refined and probably more reliable than a GTR with 1000 hp.

Exactly. Reliability is a question. You can squeeze 1000hp out of a Nissan but the engine will without a doubt last for long period without part having to be replaced. Ruf cars on the other hand are very reliable compared with other over tuned cars.
