Re: Ruf R Kompressor

Very sexy. I love the styling, though I would like to know how much it cost.

Re: Ruf R Kompressor

This car is serious quick, and the bodykit is very nice!

If it costs more than the turbo, I wouldn't get it over the turbo!

Re: Ruf R Kompressor

I don't think it will cost more! Did you guys know RUF isn't a tuner but an indenpendent producer!

Yes, their VIN numbers and everything are unique to their company. That is, if you buy a car made by them from the ground up. You can still buy a normal Porsche and take it to them to work on. I belive Brabus and some other "tuners" have this status.

PK’s even in Porsche 911 (997) created RUF have you r Kompressor not enough and therefore. Thanks to kompressor (what a verassing!) is there 435pk for hands.
In fact I can no longer post this, because according to Dennis and Autobloggert this old news is. But if you say it rapidly, it seems considerable on car news. And moreover you can make me, however, awake for RUF.
RUF r Kompressor are simply a gaaf hok, the assembled tupperware have been made functional and for a large part of lichtgewicht carbon. The mirrors have been even optimised aerodynamisch (we have rather seen that).
The blade is completed by 19″ wheels in traditional RUF style and such as hear be the achterbanden (305/30 ZR broader 19) than the voorbanden (255/35 ZR 19).
THE RUF 3.8 litres zescylinder boxer engine have equipped with one kompressor and two water-cooled intercoolers with the following specs:
Capacity 320 kW (435 pk) at 7.000 rpm
Capacity by litre 83.7 kW/L (113,8 pk/L)
Maximum cross-belt 470 Nm at 5.000 rpm
Acceleratie 0 - 100 km/u 4.1 seconden, 0 - 200 km/u in 13.5 seconden
top speed 302 km/u.

I would like to see a comparison between this car and the Turbo.

Havne't comparisons like that yielded, at times, odd results? I mean sometimes you see them win, sometimes you don't, etc.

I think the turbo would be slightly faster. EXTREMELY slightly.
The Turbo is probably a bit faster but the Kompressor might does have the benefit och not having any turbo lag.

While this might not be my RUF model of choice, in my mind the RUFs are much more desirable than the Porsches due to the small production numbers and the fact that the RUF cars are hand made. Performance isn't bad either. Might not be the ultimate performance car, but with a RUF car you will always get a great total package.

I wonder what the cost would be just for the Kompressor kit, and not all the body kit stuff. The CarreraS is already sharp enough in handling and looks imo, but the extra power would be a nice addition.

EDIT: Found it on the RUF Website, its about $ 24k USD. Guess it would be cheaper than buying a Turbo depending on your options.

That's not cheap. Is the compressor all you get?

I guess....just says Kompressor....and whatever engine mods come in the package. No exterior mods....Yea thats really expensive...like another car.

Meh, the car feels powerful enough imo. But the extra power is just cool to have :t-drive:
