RUF Ruf at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show

Ruf Automobile GmbH (stylized as RUF) is a German car manufacturer. Formerly using Porsche bodies in white to build cars, today they build vehicles on their own bodies and chassis. They also manufacture performance parts for various Porsche models, including the 911, Boxster, and Cayman. The company rose to fame when in 1987, its Porsche-derived CTR reached 211 mph, surpassing the Ferrari F40's claimed top speed of 201 mph. Official website: RUF Automobile

RUF Automobile presents seven vehicles at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show

The CTR3 Clubsport is RUF’s flagship. The super sports car is presented with an optional double clutch gearbox and a change in appearance. Now the fuel is injected directly to the combustion chamber, no longer to the manifold.

Additional models are presented on the Rt 35 base car. The Rt 35 S offers an extra 20 bhp, an additional wing type rear spoiler and the integrated roll cage, which put new sporty accents to the Rt 35. The Rt 35 Roadster is the open version of the Rt 35. The turbo charged sports car combines the driving sensation of high performance and the driving pleasure of an open-top car due to its effortless electrically operated hood. Just like the Rt 35 Anniversary its siblings are limited to 35 units per model.
The Rt 12 R offers 750 bhp (+20 bhp) in its latest version and is the only offered RUF model that is still based on the 997 chassis.
As a contribution to the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911 RUF is presenting the Porsche 901 production number 37. This is the car model that triggered Alois Ruf’s enthusiasm and passion for the Porsche brand. Happy Birthday 911!

RUF builds the 3800 S, a mid-engine car with 3.8 litres and 420 bhp. It is based on the Boxster or Cayman and comes with a 7 speed double clutch gearbox.

RUF is showing to the public a bare body shell of the RGT-8, featuring the main components a RUF car is consisting of. The Highlight is the RUF own developed 8 cylinder engine.

CTR3 Clubsport
For the first time, the CTR 3 Clubsport can be ordered with a double clutch transmission, and the 3.8-litre six-cylinder is equipped with the latest direct fuel injection technology. The curvaceous styling cues of this mid-engined supercar are reminiscent of the glorious Coupés that raced at Le Mans in the ’50s and ’60s. The Clubsport version has its own special appearance, contrived by Carbon embellishments on the wheel arches, sill panels, engine lid and the rooftop air intake (“Mohawk”), distancing it from the “normal” CTR 3 version, which is still available.

Rt 35 S
Ruf’s 35 years of experience with turbocharged engines - and a double clutch transmission that’s available on request –enable the Rt 35 S to deliver extraordinary on-road performance that’s accessible in everyday use.
Through continuous development, the S series now packs an additional 20 bhp, the output currently totals 650 bhp. RUF’s integrated roll cage has been specially developed and configured to form a key element of the car’s standard equipment. The roll cage is constructed of high-strength steel and provides increased torsional rigidity and a high degree of passive safety for passengers. For better drivability, higher down force and balanced handling in fast curves, the Rt 35 S is now equipped with a fixed, aerodynamically-optimized rear wing.

Rt 35 Roadster
We proudly present the Rt 35 Roadster, which is another striking new model in the Rt 35 range. The open-top version of the Rt 35 is equipped with twin turbochargers, and the cockpit clad with an electrically powered hood. This is the first twin turbocharged Roadster that’s based on the 991 chassis, and that’s reflected in its styling: the Rt 35’s typical RUF air intakes located on top of the rear wings feed the cooling air to the intercoolers. The rear-mounted six-cylinder twin turbo engine develops 630 bhp and maximum torque of 825 Nm (610 lb/ft). The Rt 35 Roadster is available with the conventional 6-speed gearbox as well as the 7-speed double clutch transmission, and can be ordered as a rear-wheel drive model or as an all-wheel
drive-version.

Rt 12 R
The fabulous Rt 12 R that’s based on the 997 is still available –and now with reduced weight. This model is available with a 6-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive. The curved wings derived from the CTR 3 bring a fresh, sporty look to the Rt 12 R. The latest version of the Rt 12 R with its 3.8-litre engine has a power output of 750 bhp. Due to its low weight, all-wheel drive and many competition orientated features, this Grand Tourer offers stunning driving dynamics backed by the highest safety levels. The integrated roll cage is of course standard. As an option, RUF offers an elevating system specially developed for the front suspension, enabling the car to negotiate traffic calming humps and bumpy driveways without grounding the front spoiler.

3800 S
The RUF 3800 S is available on the Boxster or Cayman base. The two RUF models are equipped with a 3.8-litre flat-six motor, giving a power output of 420 bhp at 7400 rpm and a torque figure of 450 Nm at 5600 rpm. The double clutch gearbox enables a complete new dynamic driving experience.
