LS Road Test: Lexus LS 600 hL Video

Not defending Lexus, but did you forget that the S600 is a V12 BiTurbo car? I don't have any better explanation fort it's amazing 0-60 time...

:t-cheers:

Of course not, but Lexus should have said that they will match "certain" V12's performance, not just "V12 performance". Lexus' reason for being is Mercedes, has been up until this switch to wanting to go after BMW (with lame results there also), and they've never thought much of Audi. If Lexus can use a V8 and batteries, Mercedes can use turbos. Lexus has no one to blame but themselves for not being able to match the S600, unless now all of a sudden the S600 isn't competition anymore. I seriously doubt that.

On Carspin, we had a Lexus fanboy who kept insisting the LS600h was made to "destroy" the German V12 cars. Now that the LS600h has not impressed performance wise, he "changed his mind" and claims that the car was made to offer the best luxury and fuel economy in this segment. :t-hands:

Lexus fanboys. :t-crazy2:

I bet. I've read similar retractions on AutoSpies too. It is amazing how they can't admit or take anything negative about Lexus. Its basically the same old story, that this time around the S-Class proves superior. Take your pick, S550, S600 or the godly S65 the S-Class rules the roost. Period. I love it and they can't stand it. Best luxury means more back seat gadgets and 5-7 more miles per gallon for a numbing driving, I'll pass.

I've been wanting to drop by a Lexus dealer and ask a salesman about the LS600hL vs the S600 and see what they say.

I got a new scanner! :eusa_danc

Anyway, Focus magazine had a short review and drive of the new LS600h. I'll get straight down to business.

What's hot!
+Interior quality
+Workmanship quality
+Refinement
+Comfort
+Quiet engine
+Low emissions
+Safety
+Fuel efficient in urban environments

What's not!
-Vague steering
-Wobbly handling
-Thirsty at high speeds
-Interior ergonomics
-Small trunk

They didn't say anything about the brakes or load capacity. Overall it felt like a quick drive and they uses the manufacturer claims I guess for the technical and performance data. :t-cheers:
