My dad has a similar story, when he lived in London could have bought a Mercedes 300SL in 1967 for £250, they only reason he didn't buy it was he couldn't afford to ship it back to NZ.

The 288 GTO is one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever built. Such a brilliant looking car inside and out. That turbo V8 is scintillating. Choice between this or the F40 is a hard one, but I will probably fall hard for this car.
