Emira [Report] Lotus Emira (type 131)

The Lotus Emira (codenamed "Type 131") is a sports car manufactured by the Lotus Cars. It is intended to be the firm's final vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine.
When Porsche found out their cars were sold to flippers, they decided to increase production :)

It's a pity Rolex don't have the balls to do the same, they keep mass producing the watches people don't really want but keep the supply tight for the ones people do, hence the ridiculous grey market and dealers ripping everyone off.

According to Matt Farah, in 2019 Porsches GT cars, GT3, GT3 RS and GT2 RS, made up half of all 911 sales. I don't think the other models sell that well. Porsche offers them because of the modularity of the 911 (all 911s are built on the same line) and the fact that 991/992 are basically the same car so the development costs are spread over a long time horizon.
It's also worth mentioning that the 991 GT3, especially with PDK was a decent daily. Couple that with strong resale value, it can make more financially sense to buy a GT3 instead of a Carrera S.

The dad of a friend of mine owns a gorgeous yellow 991 GT3. It's his third GT3 and he made a profit on the two previous ones.

Down here at least if you daily a GT3 you won't make any more or less residual value over a Carrera. Resale value is very much dependent on mileage and condition.
I would never daily any Porsche sports car but then my business circumstances dictate this in any event.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Radford Type 62-2, a coach built body on top of the Emira chassis. 62 vehicles will be built. I like it a lot.

Holding off for i4 DCT FE in Autumn 2022. Can't wait until 2023 for base version.

For me Emira only makes sense with Toyota V6 and manual. With I4, which is just a 4 cylinder engine and lacks manual, the A110 is just a better car, because it is much lighter, more daily friendly, so even more opportunity to drive and have fun, and cheaper in fuel consumption.

You're making assumptions you can't possibly back up until the motoring press have driven it.

A110 styling is divisive, personally I like it and was considering a Legende GT however Emira is stunning and looks like a super car.

As much as they’re promoting the daily usability of the Emira. Do have to wonder how usable it is given it’s proportions.

I will at least have opportunity to decide having to wait as long as I am for the i4 FE.
