Macan [Renders] 2020 Porsche Baby Macan

The Porsche Macan is a compact luxury crossover SUV (D-segment) produced by Porsche since 2014. It is the smaller SUV from Porsche below the Cayenne. The first-generation Macan went on production from February 2014 with petrol and diesel engine options. In 2024, Porsche released the second-generation Macan which is a battery electric vehicle built on the dedicated Premium Platform Electric (PPE) EV platform.

Autobild reports that Porsche has given green light to a smaller Macan to be the sport benchmark in the segment of compact crossovers.
- Front is supposed to look more like a 911 than any other non 911 model
- Two door variant is being discussed
- Possible platform sharing with Q2
- As a name it could be called "Majun"

The current Macan is a looker and wears Porsche design cues better than the Panamera and Cayenne. It won't be difficult to improve on its looks and make it even more irresistible as the best looking small SUV.

Is it a mistake in writing or have I misunderstood the posting? :)

Inevitable.
And I will earn Euro €500 because I have a bet with someone that this car will be a reality.
I had a similar bet with the Macan and look how that turned out.
I think the next bet would be a Porsche C-Segment Sporthatch or even an entry Sedan? Either they way they will expand. VAG needs money and what better cash machine than Porsche and the use of an existing platform?

Which
MA-can JUN-ior, the same as PA-namera JUN-ior.

Autobild hasn't good contacts. Porsche will do one new SUV for the C-segment. The platform will be MQB-C, not MQB-B as the Q2. The Porsche's intentions is until C-segment, no more low.

Which still makes it fwd based, seriously how low can Porsche get?

I have shots from a long time that, now, you'd not be surprised....

The Macan is so desirable to me. I wish I could afford it! That said I think it may have met it's match in the GLC43 and maybe even the GLC43 coupe.

Would love to see what Porsche could do with an RS3 style 5dr hatch
