I think they’ve done a brilliant job with this platform and the choices will be a plenty. The GLA should look much better this time and it’s compact size is just the right foil to the GLB.

I think they have added a side quarterlight now as there is far too much expanse of metal for there not to be.
Will look less like a pumped-up A-Klasse don't you think?

The latest from Mr. AMG:

Yes the GLA45 S is indeed coming, Just in case you thought the GLB had erased the cooler compact crossover.️ It’s always been a car I liked, in the previous gen anyway, offering the same A45 point and go fun but with more compliant suspension. This gen will have to prove itself worthy, what with the brilliant GLC43 close by, and the new A45S more practical and compliant than ever. Though covered, it already looks a damn sight better than the GLB. Thanks @wilcoblok for the

Proportions look stellar. I think I will like this car more than I expect. The weight and handling penalty over the A-Class will small unless you drive the car very hard.

This is looking great so far, its going to be a formidable rival for the BMW X2 and Q3 Sportback.
