GLB [Renders] 2019 Mercedes GLB

The Mercedes-Benz GLB (model code X247) is a crossover SUV produced by Mercedes-Benz. The GLB is positioned between the GLA and the larger GLC in size, however unlike these vehicles the GLB is equipped with optional third row seating due to better space distribution.
The GLA is overpriced but could remain in production along the GLB. If they drop the price it will still be bought by those who desire a raised seating position but don't want the bulk of an SUV or want something a bit more stylish than an X1 or Q3. Whilst utility is valued by many families some happily choose hatchbacks which are sufficient for most trips if your don't need to lug around a big stroller.

Mind you, VW have released the T-Roc which is basically a Golf SUV. Expect a jacked up Polo to follow. I can envision Audi and BMW releasing a small crossover to sit below the Q3/X1.
No question about that. It's the typical moving up the market. Make the current car bigger and more luxurious and introduce smaller models under it. The Q2 already exists and the Polo SUV "T-Cross" is also confirmed.

Good point. I forgot to mention the Q2. It's a quirky entry-level crossover that can encourage money conscious Nissan, Ford and Toyota customers to stretch themselves into a German car.

It's going to be handsome IMO.

Lets see the SUVS: GLA, GLB, GLC, EQ C, GLE, GLS, G. With most of those being new over the next 12 months. Going to be hard to count all the sales.

This is the GLB or the next gen GLC ? if its GLB seems to have the same dimensions as the GLC ?!

If its almost the size of GLC then its going to be a big hit for Merc

If it looks good and has that A class type interior i think it will be very popular..i was in Canda last september and i saw plenty GLK they look quite good.

Finally something on the A platform i can get excited about.
Mercedes really needs to wise up and drop the GLA. It is an unnecessary variant. The regular A-class is a better option, and the GLA doesn't offer any real benefit or difference from a regular A-class hatch.

In fact, with the A-sedan. Mercedes could drop the GLA and CLA. Wasted model designations that don't really add to the line up.

The A-class hatch would be sales proof here in the U.S. The GLA is absolutely needed. The body cladding and height make all the difference. I'll be curious to see the sales mix between CLA and A-class sedan.
