The R class is a fantastic concept and the car should get more recognition than it gets now. But I think that will be the case because the facelift is looking very promising so far.
I've always liked the R class and the idea behind it, and without it we wouldn't have had the 5er GT

Yes, definitely an improvement, but it still looks a bit awkward. Expect different graphics in the lighting, at least different placement.

The R-Klasse FL rear end will be like so:

1. A bit of this

in the overall appearance of the tail lights

2. A bit of this

in the final shape of the tail lights

3. A bit of this

on the bumper

4. Such exhaust pipes

5. Some chromed lines, on the bumper and on the trunk lid

And there you have it!

A refreshed rear end that will very much look like a new one!

Don't be so sure.

If they did this marketing move, we shall see the car earlier;it is heavily speculated that Mercedes-Benz have changed their mind and they will show the R at Geneva. Moreover, they did such a move in 2008, with the A-Klasse FL;they have released the first official press info on the B-Klasse FL on 14th March, and among the photos, there was one showcasing the new parking assistance system, and two of the cars from the picture were the new A-Klasse-the coupe and 5door version.

Two weeks later, on 27th March, the new A-Klasse was being unveiled at the AMI Leipzig Motor Show.
