Weismann will be making life a little bit easier for customers of its retro-styled GT coupe by offering an automatic transmission or a sequential manual unit in addition to the standard six-speed manual gearbox already on sale. Wiesmann has confirmed the car will be available with a new six-speed automatic transmission or BMW’s SMG.
The SMG transmission can also be controlled using an ordinary gear-shift lever mounted on the center column or with a pair of paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel. Surprisingly, adding the SMG is slightly cheaper than opting for a standard automatic gearbox. The SMG will set you back an additional €4,250, while the auto will cost you €4,900.
Wiesmann also has a special high-performance version of the GT powered by the 5.0L V10 engine found in BMW’s M5 and M6 models. The new car is called the GT MF 5 and it made its official debut at last month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Click here to read our more detailed story on the Wiesmann GT MF 5.
