E-Class W212 Pre-Official: W212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class


The W212 and S212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class series is the fourth generation of the E-Class range of executive cars which was produced by Mercedes-Benz between 2009 and 2016 as the successor to the W211 E-Class. The body styles of the range are either four-door sedan/saloon (W212) or a five-door estate/wagon (S212).

Good point, I agree!

I think we tell now where the "arching" profile comes from. All the way down to the drooping deck-lid. It all started with the Maybach, that shape trickled to the S-Class and now has found it`s way to the E-Class in a progressive state.

The biggest problem I see so far are the enormous taillights!
Like the W211 model the designers should have left them off the decklid.

I have been looking at the two new uncamoed pictures of the new E Class for a few minutes now.

I can't work out whether Im just indifferent to it or just hate it......................

I find the exaggerated squat stance of the profile and the strong angular straight roof-lines bothering.

mmh, not liking it so far, incoherent design, rear looks very asian, front messy, maybe better pic's will change my mind

Love the front and the rear thank goodness looks better than i thought:D

The red one looks great, though I do agree that the taillights look to Asian, more specifically Korean, they look very much like a Hyundai... Maybe no it's no coincidence that a former MB designer is with Hyundai now?

pretty much what I expected with all what we saw from the FEPs and PS pictures.
As I thought, the front looks very good - however the rest of e car is a bit boxy, and I don't like the rear lights.
It will be a very good car, however it's a bit too conservative (what's expected from mercedes vs other carmakers), but even too conservative to the current E class.
