Reportedly features 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp)

According to a recent report, Porsche will unveil the Panamera Turbo S sometime next month.
While nothing is official, the timeline matches up with the New York and Shanghai Auto Show. Furthermore, the original Turbo debuted at Auto Shanghai 2009 so it seems possible that the S could be introduced in China.
Under the hood, power will reportedly be provided by a twin-turbo 4.8-liter V8engine that develops 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp) and over 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. This should enable the hatchback to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 188 mph (303 km/h).
If the reports are correct, the Panamera Turbo S will start arriving at dealerships in late June or early July.

So the Panamera Turbo Powerkit was only available for a few months... Strange.

It'll probably run like the wind - giving many a true supercar a right whipping - but I must admit that I'd prefer to see more visual distinction for the turbo S. Needs to make a bit more of a statement on the styling front. [I'm not mad about those wheels either.]

If I could only get the $ together to replace the X6 with this! The Panny bug has bitten me after I had a ride in one. And now...this Turbo S is just the car, if only:D

I'd have a Cayenne over a Panny. Looks a gazillion times better, does more lifestyle stuff and has an even better interior.

^
I saw two new Cayenne's one white and the other a metallic grey (gunmetal) in our beloved Clarens during the beer fest (same day had the drive in the Panamera as passenger) Nope, The Cayenne's exterior is not to my taste at all - the practicality is definitely better (goes without saying) and the interior, I agree is better nevertheless I will have the Panamera;) My X6 looks better than the Cayenne IRL - IMO.
:t-cheers:

The sedan thats as fast as a super car only Porsche can have pulled off this performance figures.:usa7uh:

Code:
Comparison of The Year 2011: BMW M5 F10 vs. Porsche Panamera Turbo S. Can't wait!

Thats an quite quote DeDe should be interesting to see how the track times stack up. But do you think the M5 will come close to matching the Pana's acceleration?

Not 0-60 but perhaps 60-120 mph...

Porsche getting into the sports sedan business is the worst thing that could have happened to BMW, Mercedes and Audi. None of them are going to have a sedan to really outperform the Panamera. Some of the numbers the regular turbo puts down now are ridiculous. The new M5 is going to be heavier, even if it does have 600hp. Its going to really struggle to top a Pana Turbo S.
