Everyone's so excited, they just can't write a word about this car... or is it just me? :D

Because it's so far out of reach of most people then it's hard to get excited. I'm getting more excited about the M5 and 6 Series because they're relevant to me.

I'm going berserk in the Tata Nano thread for that very reason. YEAH!
:D

Are we sure this car is +2x as fast from 200-300 than a normal Turbo PDK? Seems insane.

Some fair question would be..
Will it be to insane to drive?
I mean GT2´s are known for biting your head off..
Will it be to mad for the normal man?
Will it be a widow maker, and dream of 18 year old boys who can't pararell park a smart?

I didn't think you were allowed to parallel park a Smart car:t-hands:

Great car, but I would rather have a 911 Turbo RS, I think I could survive a few seconds longer in it.

There's no official info and no proper pictures, perhaps that's why people aren't so excited yet. ;)

Or maybe everyone is still awing at the GTO and forgot about this yet another boring looking 911.:D

The Widow Maker is back! But thanks to the pricing, there won't be too many widows out there. No need to call in Ban Ki-Moon then...

Porsche - O how I love you

not a bad looking car, but i like the ability to work with techart and build a MUCH better one yourself:) Since i tok this picture I tipped it out in all orange....it;s saawweeetttttttttttttt !!!!

And the dealer where i got theseis the best that I've encountered - Jim Ellis in the USA

and waiting to dress up it's younger sister the GTS.....what a ride
i got the 2010 because i like it more than the next gen.

it's the same reason a used the 2004 r32 platform to build for the track instead of the new one.:)

Nice forum...just joined:)

Cheers

Very Excited about this 911. Although the 0-60 Time seems a bit slow :t-banghea Considering in the 997.2 Turbo PDK People have gotten 0-60 Times in about 3.0 Seconds flat Using GPS Measurements lol.

On the Other Hand I cant wait to watch the Nordschleife Lap :usa7uh:

In RWD sportscars there is a point where more hp starts to give slower 0-100 km/h times. And the 997 GT2 is the perfect example.

AMS and AutoZeitung did 3,6 seconds with the 530 hp-standard GT2 (Launch Assistant).
According to AutoBild Sportscars with 650 hp the car is still doing it in 3,6 seconds (Wimmer-tuning).
With 700 hp (TechArt GTstreet RS) the 0-100 km/h time is the best: 3,5 s.

But! With 750 hp and 850 Nm the time reduced to 3,9 seconds (Sportec).
800 hp means 4,1 seconds (9ff) - Half-a-second slower than the stock one.

So I think - even with a great Launch Assistant - the new GT2 will do 0-100 km/h in around 3,4 seconds. But that will be the best time for it.

:t-cheers:

True But still I am hoping it will go at least Sub 3.4 The last time i remember a 911 having this much Horsepower Was Probably the Touring Car GT3's :usa7uh:
