911 (997) Porsche 997 GT2 Picture Thread

The Porsche 997 is the sixth generation of the Porsche 911 sports car manufactured and sold by the German automobile manufacturer Porsche. It was sold between 2004 (for the 2005 model year) and 2013.

Thx,Bruce..nice finds!Just imagine how cool it would look with some carbon parts installed(hoot, roof, rear wing and lip spoilers)..awesome!!Yellow is one of my favorite color choices for GT 2..It really add aggresive note to allready aggresive car design!

The GT2 on display at Rennsport was the same car that was on display at Frankfurt (so was the guards red 997 turbo cab). The Porsche PR guys were encouraging us to steal it off the stand at night. The security was pretty light and it sat unattended all night. The other pictures above are from the press drive of the GT2 at Daytona. My pics are below:

I want mine in yellow!

After going through all the photos in this thread and actually seeing the car IRL (black) on Sunday I have to say I think yellow should be the official color for the GT2. It really highlights the car's aggressive nature and makes it look as special as it it really is. White would be my second choice.

Black hides it's aggressiveness and makes it look too discreet. It also makes it hard to distinguish the car from Turbo.
Silver is too dull a color for this car. It doesn't look enough special. Like black, it also hides the details.
Red doesn't do much better. It makes it look too much like a regular 911.

So the best colors are the bright ones that have a nice contrast with the details that distinguish it from the other 911-models.

White and yellow!! These two colours fits best on the GT2 - but you have to clean after every gateway. :D
