Congrats, Jo, I placed a deposit on its first week of launch, but excitement didn't last as GCC deliveries are scheduled for Q2 or Q3 or Q1 for Cabriollet ...

BTW those are EU versions with GPF, they sound of course much worse than the US cars.

Turbo S with VTG has never and will never sound great.

Edit: mind you, I'm not sure that these new e-turbos have VTG anymore - will have to go look...

Edit 2: it doesn't seem to have VTG any longer. Probably no longer needed with e-turbo actuation.

Seems to have corrected the things I didn’t like about my 992.1, mostly the lag and the ride comfort. Sounds about the perfect sports car. Especially now that I have use for the back seats with my little one. Looking forward to it!

I was going through my old turbo S tested stats, I was consistently accelerating 100-200 in 5.7 seconds. Porsche claims this car is .5 seconds quicker 0-200 and .2 of that is done 0-100. So if we assume 100-200 is .3 of that, new Turbo S should do a sub 5.5 second 100-200 which would mean 0-200 in 8 seconds or less. That’s extremely quick.

The fastest times I've seen for the 992.1 TS from any publication were: 0-100 km/h in 2,54 s and 0-200 km/h in 8,5 s by AutoBild Sportscars.
I'm guessing that they will manage incredible numbers with the 992.2.

Btw.: this spec is my new dream. The colour, the wheels, the Aerokit... just yummy.

In Auto Zeitung 992.1 Turbo S was even faster to 0-200 than in Auto bild sportscars..
