what an awesome car, are they legal in the sates now?
I heard after the car is 21 years old it doesnt need smog or crash testing.

From the factory it still isn't legal in the states. The ones here have been tuned to achieve required emissions, and as a bonus a little over 700hp.

Some states any car over 25 doesn't have to be smoged, but then it also might be any car 1975 or older.
