Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. I would love for them to throw the "old school" Huayra into the mix for frame of reference. They can leave the Koenigsegg out - it will bring nothing more to the party than the Pagani.

Also, I feel we're still dealing with Huayra iteration 1.00; there's sure to be more extreme Fs and what not on the cards.

The interesting aspect in all of this will be whether the 918's four wheel drive will bring any tangible advantages against the "purer" RWD competitors.

Totally agree, I would love to see the Huayra in the mix but in terms of acceleration it does 0-200 mph in 30 seconds and on the track it hasn't got a chance. We'll wait for the Fs and what to come.
Exciting times ahead.
 
I think this damn thing will have more than 900hp in reality.
So much for the power advantage of the LAFer and p1
 
Quick insider. The 918 was tested at the Ring this week. The results are...haha we'll have to wait until the IAA. However, I can say that they are very, very good. Better than I anticipated and I had high expectations after seeing the prototype runs in the mid 7:30s over a year ago.
Porsche outdid itself again.
 
Specs will not change by the way. At least not in paper. Just finalizing production and making sure that the car performs as well as possible. Meaning that the advertised numbers will be exceeded just as Porsche usually does.
 
Final drive: 3.09 is definitely wrong. It would mean that the 918 would go up to 104 kph in 1st, 178 in 2nd and 257 in 3rd... o_O
