Damn, so amazing sounds.

Did we know this fact already? I apologize if we did.

MT: Have we seen any technology transfer from the 918 Supercar down to the 911 turbo yet?
Dr. M: Well yes, but actually we are seeing things going both directions, the two cars are linked very closely. For instance both cars use a rear-wheel steering system that was developed for the Turbo.

Just got information that Chris Harris and some other journalists will get a sneak preview of the car again this Thursday. Don't know when that will air, but apparently there will be some good stuff that will make the people in Woking and Maranello look old...

Do you know if it will be the same thing (Like they did on Nardo and Nurburgring)? Someone I know also teased me but i'm not sure it will be the final production version. Hopefully it will... :sneaky:

I don't know if it's the final production car, but I don't think it will be. My guess is that they will get to drive it on a track (possibly the Nurburgring) and show the changes they have made to the 918. Four wheel steering, more power, and maybe the feature/performance thing that will make the Ferrari and McLaren people pale. :D

Very possible. Nobody knowns what performance potential can hide behind electric power, AWD and AWS. The NSX II is in everyway the affordable 918 Spyder. So if 918 Spyder surprises us, so will the NSX II, it might have 458 performance.

Because those two cars have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with eachother.

May I also add (on my way to go to sleep) that we know nothing about the NSX II. No prototypes, no engine info, no hard evidence, other than some vague magazine articles. The 918, on the other hand, is right in front of our eyes, just about to get officially unveiled.

All I can say is that 7:18 on the ring is an understatement, the Germans are waiting for the P1 and LaFerrari take its go around the ring first. be patient

Has Ferrari or McLaren ever officially released N-ring times? Usually, with Ferrari, it's Fiorano-based time, and with McL, it's either Silverstone or the Top Gear track's time (can't remember which one). If Porsche is going to wait for the LaF's or P1's time at the 'Ring, it may have to wait for a loooooooong time.

Latest info:

Yesterday's press day went perfect. Press embargo ends on the 15th. That's when the videos and articles will be released. The reporters were blown away by the car.
"This doesn't feel like a hybrid and the four wheel steering is exceptional" - Chris Harris
Last teaser: Final horsepower rating will be very, very close to 900 :D

Looks like the 15th is gonna be a mega day for Stuttgart. I wonder what BMW uncreative marketing will do in an attempt to divert some of the attention?

Reveal the M3 CSL E92, the gran final for the last NA M engine? Nah, can only dream of that.

Here's another Chris Harris quote that I hope makes it onto film: "It just doesn't feel like a hybrid...we seriously have some things to reconsider."

Probably get Scott to troll the S-Class thread or release a Compact Sports Activity Crossover Coupe Concept Mini.
