911 (991) Porsche 911 Turbo(991) Spy Shots

The Porsche 991 is the seventh generation of the Porsche 911 sports car, produced from September 2011 to December 2019. It was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show on 15 September as the replacement for the 997.
The 991 turbo and turbo s configuration should be available next week as well. I ran a test run on it today and saw the car again. The rear bumper is what it is in the spy shots. The front led/DRL light up around the outline, similar to some panamera models. Side vent looks much more better and not awkward looking, they've gotten rid of the slit in the middle like the 997 models. 20' multi spoke rims... The car is a beauty and going to be a beast. I saw an option that didn't read too much about it but I'm hearing a "light up" turbo/turbo s logo when braking, some manufacturers have done this before

The front bumper is the same one than on the spy pics? It looks so tame compared to the 997 Turbo one.

9 Things You Should Know About the New Porsche 911 Turbo

It's PDK-only and stupid fast. And that's not all.

We're already told about the New Porsche 911 Turbo and how it will drop its manual gearbox for good in order to become faster round a track. We've yet to see a big mob of people gathering outside Porsche's headquarters, so maybe it's time to tell you about some other changes.

Weight and traction are important, but of course you can't be fast without actual power. Road&Track magazine says the type-991 Turbo will have a little extra juice.

Frankly, that should surprise absolutely nobody, but we like to keep up to date with what's going on in the power war with the Nissan GT-R. R&T says the normal Turbo will have 420 hp and 479 lb-ft, while the Turbo S will deliver 560 hp and 516 lb-ft. That should be in American horses of power.

Translate that into german and you get a rating of 427 PS and for the Turbo and 567 PS for the Turbo S. Since Porsche doesn't like unrounded numbers, we'll just call that 430 PS and 470 PS, which means the normal car will be as powerful as the old S and the new S will be a bit more powerful than a Nissan GT-R.

That's not bad, but not great either. Still, the 13% increase in fuel economy and probably a better launch control system should make current Turbo owners eager to swap.
