911 (991) Porsche 911 Turbo(991) Spy Shots

The Porsche 991 is the seventh generation of the Porsche 911 sports car. Predecessor: Porsche 911 (997). Successor: Porsche 911 (992). Production: 2011-2019.
Love the mirror support design, really hot.

I don't believe the 991 generation is lighter than 997 by any mean.
The lightest 991 S with ceramics, carbon interior, bucket seats is about 20 kilos lighter than a 997.2 S with the same equipment.

Yes it is. Except for the GT3, which is a bit unfair as the 997 is without PDK and the 991 with.

Official weight figures to EU1 standard (including 75kg for driver and luggage).

(991) 1,455kg

Carrera 4
(997) 1,545kg

Thanks Betty. But I believe real world tests showed much higher numbers when equiped with some extra options. You can refer to one of the tests and check the numbers.

I'm sure they did, but I think that's probably the case for the 997 too, as it is for any car. The only thing we can really use to compare is the "official" figures, in which case the 991 is lighter than the 997.

lol thats in case we assume that official figures are true and authentic. I found the official figures are strictly conditional to "some" bare bone setups that no one will order compared to nicely opted older model. Anyway that is pointless to discuss without solid data.

Thanks man.

What if I told you guys the rear bumper is fake and only used as a disguised. Think of the GT2 RS.

I'm hearing an official release next week, with rims similar to this.

^I hope you are right about everything you just wrote:D

I will tell you that the rear bumper is OK, but the front one is far below my expectations, as it looks too standard.

^I think you want to wait and at least see the Turbo? haha

Didn't get to see the picture again about the rear bumper, but we can expect some leaked photos next week, around May 2nd (not an official release)

Yesterday, I saw a picture of the side view of a silver 991 turbo. The bottom part of the rear bumper seemed to all black, with side vents similar to the GT2 RS and rims similar to the ones on the 918.
