HOH.... At the bottom of the thread whne you are creating there is a box that says would u like to make it a Poll, you have to check it, and select how many brands you want.

Just resubmit your poll and the other will be closed.

Probably NSL did it... surely there is a way i guess....

I tried to add the poll and merge the thread, but it wouldn't let me so i deleted the thread.

new S-class . NO QUESTION ABOUT IT
LOVE them all especailly the a8 but the s-class is a differant story...

i think black is the best collor for the new s-class
i love this picture

I didn't change anything. Prob since the title was the same one took over the other one...

I just casted my vote.. Unfortunately I don't think I can be equally fair since I only test drove the new 750iL.... (and even BMW came to my home to check how the 7 would fit in my garage.... they are good... lol)
The S-Class still not on these shores.... can't really give a fair vote to MB since I haven't seen it in the flesh yet.... All these newer designs are somewhat hard to give a good opinion based on pictures only.

That was my case when I first saw the Maserati Quattroporte in print.... then I saw it live and I even test drove it!! Amazing Macchina.

Sorry MB fans (and I am one!) I had to go with BMW this time around, I'd like to rerun this poll again once the S-Class starts to show up in dealers..
As for the AUDI, I think that is one of the finest luxo sedans in its category nowadays, so beautiful and elegant yet understated.

Admin(NSL).

i went with the A8! Drove the 7 which i love and the A8, obviously not the MB, but im not really fond of the new S (yet) anyway.

A8 is really awesome drive, the AWD is important to me, and that was my winning close! 7'er was close!

Well I think the S class is the king, because it has very high sales so is the most popular one, but If I was buying one, I'd go for the 7er for the sporty drive!

Perhaps basing that on the W220, but this new one just hit i dont think there are any sales figures just yet. :t-hands:

I know there aren't yet, but I'm sure it will follow the W220's foot steps, we will see soon though!

Hard to judge unless you have seen it or driven it or been driven in it....

Of course it will follow, it is an MB afterall!!! :t-roses:

Regardless, S it is for you! :t-drive:

Well I have seen it, and it looks alright, nothing special, but that is what I thought of the W220!

You know that is very telling, it was my same reaction in late 1999 when I saw the W220 for the first time.

I hope this is not the same case, but back then, they (the press) were saying the new S-Class was the most luxurious, advanced, and sophisticated sedan in the world, and here I was sitting inside an S500, then test driving it, then parking it next to a W140 inventory (they still had a few brand new ones left), and I'm going, what's wrong with the picture?? :t-hands:
As for looks, the new (back then) W220 looked more 'friendly' compared to the W140, according to one of the salesmen.... the car was a wee bit smaller than the W140 'Too Big' S-Class but it was 'nicer' and more 'friendly'! that hurt. :t-banghea

Well, they are starting to do the same this time around and claim the W221 to be the most this and that.... looks alone from pictures tell me this is not the imposing, 'get out of my way' traditional look of a Benz sedan (maybe in person it will, I hope). From the pics, it still looks too 'nice'.... ;)
Perhaps this is a necessary change in order to stay competitive with the new Asian market... if that's why they are making MB's look the way they look now... oh well at least the Bavarian house still has that 'imposing' look that makes you go 'wow'.

Just my $0.02
NSL.

That is true ... BMW has that agressive look at all times, i think its the grill and shape of the nose.... sleek

My vote went to the S and I will tell you why.

As far as design is concerned the new S class takes the cup of tea. I mean this car is so self-sufficient(looks like it can run the world) that if you have a political or elite position you want to be driving it because it feels that you will pave the road for yourself.

I have not driven it, and I have not driven the other two either. So my opinion is rather flawed, but then again it is stabalized by the fact that it is purely based on what I have read, compared, and seen(design).

I :eusa_clap to MB for a job well done on the new S

Apparently the Audi fans didnt get the memo! THere all still talking about the RS4 at Germancaraddicts.

Although I do believe the new S is the "King" at the moment, as far as VIP transport is concerned the big Merc is more Hollywood than United Nations - in Europe, the A8 is used by many political and diplomatic organizations.

The A8 has the most official and authoritative presence of the three IMO, the S class is the most eye-catching and dynamic - as for the 7er - I'm waiting for it's successor to completely upstage the other two soon.

I saw a black S-class some days ago and I was disappointed. Its weird but the car look better on pics than in person. However I like the interior and want the interior in my facelifted 7-serie :usa7uh:

I love this pic

but no doubt the S-class is a king, better history and reputation than A8 and 7-series but it doesnt mean its a better car.
