There are lot of posers in the world.
Not everyone is going to buy this ,know everything about the car. People with lots of money will buy this becuase the can, not nessecary becuase they no what it is. Oh and dont forget the badge wh***.

Well yeah. Just like how Jezza called all M3 drivers "Cocks". Not all M3 drivers are selfindulgent a$$holes, but there are some who give everyone else a bad name. So there are some guys who will buy this car (and others) just because they can and not because they really care.

So I guess it is for hardcore MB fans with deep pockets.

the ZR1 is faster to 100 but the SL65 catches up to 200 so i bet the SL will smoke the vette to 300

I have never been driving in 300km/h and probably never will so what happens in those speeds are irrelevant. Compared to ZR1 they SL65 BS will be a overpriced doggy on anabolic steorids. Thank God there are cheaper choices outthere for those who arent superrich.

For me they are highly relevant. It shows what the engine is really capable of, and how stong it is.
Everything should be irrelevant for you then...why bother showing us Nurburgring laptimes? You won't be driving at those speeds yourself.....

Sorry man, but that's a bit harsh to say. May be not so exclusive like SL65 and Lambo, but it beats them in performance and on track for 1/3 price. Plus, it looks million times better than that ugly Lambo.

No you are right. I'm deleting the N-ring laptimes thread as we speak cause that thread I created only for my own intrest, not for the GCF members.

The 0-300km/h argument is weak, Tarek.
Just admit that the ZR1 is a better performance car for the money than the SL65 BS.
Not much to brag about if you buy a SL65 BS - "At least my car is faster to 300 km/h than a ZR1".
When in fact, both on track and in acceleration the SL65 BS isnt superior to the ZR1. Its a hefty price to pay for a SL65 BS just to get a car that is faster to 300km/h than a ZR1. (Which we dont even know for sure yet, so far its just speculations).

Anyway, its not like someone is cross shopping between a ZR1 and a SL65 BS so there isnt a really a problem here.
My vote goes to SL65 BS but its becuase I will sell it so I can afford buying a Corvette ZR1 and a M5 Touring

No we dont know anything yet but one thing we know for sure. In terms of performance vs price, the Z06/ZR1 overshadows the germans.

I agree with Just_me and Rob on this - the ZR1 is a stunning looking machine. That extremely low-profile nose (achievable as a result of the application of the more compact, less top-heavy OHV/pushrod engine layout), fantastic wedge-shaped design and stunning silhouette make the 'Vette something special in the automotive world. Now, pity the US auto-industry is so insular - the rest of the world would love to see this car reaching their shores in official numbers.

By the way, the more I think about it the more I like this poll. It's a terrifically relevant, yet all the same, unconventional comparison. And the Corvette so deserves to be in this company purely as a result of its undeniably impressive performance.

It looks fine but definitely not one of the best looking production cars,IMO of course
