Sorry but my vote goes to the Cayenne.
Actually from the very first momment i saw the first pic of the car i thought it is astonishing. But it was only the front of the car. I like its dynamic lines and curves, but what really bothers me is the rear. I don't say that it is ugly, but it is a bit (only a bit) weird to me. The car is very nice looking, but that single feature...
On the other hand, the Cayenne is a "complete" package. Very nice design from all aspects and angles.

Seriously speaking, the car is goddamb sexy but that rear end kinda bothers me. Time will say. I guess that in a week i will have changed my opinion...
PS. You expected me to fully like this car, right? I was blown away from the X5 and i was waiting for the same from the X6. Well, it happend, but the rear still is weird...
.Both are beasts but BMW shaped X6 to perfection..Best looking SUV(SAV) there is.

Well, I do think it's hideous (especially that massive rear), but that's not really what bugs me the most. Neither is it the pointlessness of the car - I absolutely adore several cars which are at least as pointless as this one. I suppose what my problem with this thing is that to me, it is far removed - in both philosophy and execution - from the BMW's I used to adore as a kid. Somehow it embodies what BMW has become - a company which I can appreciate from a business standpoint but whose products no longer appeal to me at all.

I can completely appreciate you're point of view Mike. Honestly, that's how I've felt about the recent crop of BMW products for the longest of time. I used to have such great appreciation for BMW automobiles - E39, Z8, E46 - but once the new crop came around, my interest in BM's went away.
I am happy to announce though that this X6 is the first Munich motor I've wanted in a long while.

No idea why they don't work... Seems you're the only one expiriencing that problem...
Try checking MotorAuthority.com for the pics that i posted... In any case those are GTS PR pics...The only ones available at the moment.

I loved the old Beemers, that elegance, they were cat-like, really the German Alfa-Romeo.
Now it is over. I don't like all these Bangle-BM at all.
I like only two of them, the e92 (but it is far from being my favourite coupe in this class, the S5 is better imo) and this X6, really beautiful. Waiting to see it in the metal though.
But, even good-looking, it does not look like a BM, it has not that cat-like elegance. It is a very good-looking suv (sav or sac or what you want Tycoon ), but not like the old BM, it is different. Very Bangle.
Furthermore, a big heavy thing like that is not what you expect the most from BMW...
So even if I personnally like the X6, I fully understand why Mike does not like it.
