While in the process of recovering from the shock of the first official images of the alienating Audi A6 etron, I somehow find a bit of comfort in viewing independant designer vapourware:

As discovered on autoevolution.com, a fine example of what a large electric sport/luxury sedan can and should look like. Is there hope of being rescued from the sight of genuinely visually unattractive electric sedans after all ?

I'm hoping so myself as I am generally fond of the brand. And that independant illustrators image is absolutely gorgeous. Alas, it is nothing more than vapourware, I'm afraid. A pity that, as I think that its eye appeal is greater than that of the Polestar 5. And speaking of which...things have gone pretty silent on that car.

As far as I have heard yes. Same as ES90. Designs have been completed.

And it looks a damn sight better than what the German "Big 3" premium manufacturers have been coming up with so far regarding their electric sedans.

Tough times are ahead for Polestar. The brand made sense 5 years ago when it was an electric sub-brand of Volvo. However, today, you can buy electric Volvo cars which sort of renders Polestar redundant unless their design direciton drastically changes.

True. What is currently going on at Polestar is odd. And not very confidence instilling.
