Astra Opel Astra Sport Tourer

The Opel Astra is a compact car/small family car (C-segment) developed and produced by the Opel since 1991. It was first launched in September 1991 as a direct replacement to the Opel Kadett. As of 2025, the car slots between the smaller Corsa supermini and the larger Frontera subcompact crossover SUV.
Well, rear looks much much better then the one of the "Limousine". Always liked the Tourer more…could be a nice alternative to the Golf Variant - which I don't like (just the Mk.VI front but Mk.V rear - where is that a new car?)

Hindsight....GMSA has pulled Astra's from the South-African lineup in 2009 , we only get the locally made Corsa utility and new Corsa. Their are rumors that we will get the new Astra from next year on...

Dare I say that I actually think Opel makes great cars? Only a bit, what shall I say, anonymous, maybe?

Let's see:

  • Astra: Looks good. A friend has one and everyday I love it more
  • Insignia: Great looks, yet kind of average car. But great looks. Especially in white
  • Corsa: It also looks great. And drives great, too!
  • Zafira: The best way to move 7 people with one car. Period.

:t-cheers:
