German "Presseportal" is reporting that one of the most spectacular TV ads ever will be shown in German TV from November 5th for the Audi Q7.
The 40-second moview, which was shot in Iceland and Prague, will also show an Audi 200 quattro TransAm (Ice sequel), an Audi Sport quattro S1 "Pikes Peak" (sand sequel) and an Audi V8 quattro DTM (water sequel) which makes 1962 bhp in one TV ad!
The movie will have totally new perspectives on a car in a TV ad which were never shown before: they are called "the quattro perspective".
There will also be a 30-second movie and it will start first in Germany, followed soon by Italy, UK and the US. Carla Vallet's song "Streets of tomorrow" is the title song for the ad movie.

As an old military saying goes: "Never underestimete your enemy." :D

Yes, I'm monitoring very carefully what the competition is doing ...

Much more effort is needed to defend and keep the top position than to pursue and win it.

Awesome Ad, I wonder how they were able to film under the car!

That's the kind of advert I love!

All the answers to your questions are in there: after watching the intro, enter the main page, click "TV commercial premiere > Watch now", and than "Behind the scenes ... Watch Making Of video >"

It's much more interesting to watch that than the ad.

Great Ad, and the music is really perfectly toned tot eh commercial... Audi makes unreal ads.

Im personally more interested in the Hybrid 4.2 V8, also the electric motor makes it quicker by .6 of a second faster then the gas engine! SWEET! Nice to see Audi in that game. Fourth generation, but still nice to see it produced! Wonder how it will compare with the rest!

Water Sand and Ice, With the Q7 on the Kulisse Islands

For their latest commercial, Audi has endeavoured in making one of the most interesting ad spots by the Ingolstadt-based auto company to date. The piece was filmed by Gerhard Kiefer, a twelve-year veteran with Audi who coordinates work for commercials and publicity films and has made no less than 70 TV spots for the company.

Among the spots, the filmmaker suggests there are none that stand out as much in his head as the recent piece made for the Q7. Beginning November 5, the finished product will run in commercial form on European television.

The 40-second film was shot in Iceland and Prague, while the special effects were developed in Paris. Altogether, it took three months from first preparations to finished product.

For the creative staff from the Hamburg-based agency, this was so far the largest challenge yet.

Hans Christian Schwingen, head of markeitng communication for Audi coments, "We made points of view possible on the car that one might have not yet thought possible. It is not just an "aha" film, but a "wow" film".

In the film, viewers will be able to essentially sit under water, under a sand runway or under the surface of ice, so that they can look up and see the car from the "quattro perspective".

First one sees an Audi Rallye car travelling rapidly on a sand runway. Then a second racing car shoots across the surface of water. Finally, in the final seen a final racecar travels across the ice.

Then, one can recognize the Q7. The camera breaks through the ice from below the surface so that the Q7 can be seen freely as it drives on the ice.

Wow sweet. Audi has some great ads, but I rarely ever see them in the US. Most of the good ones I've seen have been off the internet.

I hardly ever see them on Dutch tv either. Last one I saw here since a long time was (I believe it was) an A6 racing a train. Cool one.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
