I want an actual test track review with times and such. The rest almost seem like speculations.

Don't we all! But if you've read the different review's performance has nothing to do with the lack-luster results. The only reason I can come up with is that the writers feel that the C63 is twice the car the C55 was, and even though the new M3 is and amazing car, BMW didn't take it as far as expected!

Yeah I understand, but this is still speculation rather than actual figures. I give AMG credit for taking the extra initiative of improving over the C55 drastically but ///M didn't have to work so hard because they've been doing this far longer and the E46 wasn't no slouch, plus they also have to worry about the CSL. I wonder if AMG are planning a C63 Black? I think there should be a RS4-R or something...LOL

^^You heard it here first folks...AUDI RS4-R!!!! With 450-510HP V8, Lighter than the normal RS4 and using a DSG coupled to a new Quattro system!!!

The Lightning Lap, 2007 - Features - Car and Driver August 2007
Seems a 335i outperformed the RS4 on track and they didn't have much nice to say about the car (the RS4 that is). Doesn't bode well for the upcoming M3 vs. RS4 comparos IMO.

Lol from the autocar comparsion - M3 V8 vs RS4. The RS4 beats the M3 in all categories except for engine noise.
My Avatar still remain, sorry BMW fans but the M3 just sucks and you all know it, admit it...and dont give me the excuses, there are none, the M3 has gone soft.

Yeah, but the BMW fanatics always had an excuse that their M3 was so "old". So now when the RS4 beats the new one, they have none excuse.

Same reviewer from Autocar tested M3 E46 CS vs RS4 a while ago and then he said the M3 CS was a better car than the RS4 but this time he tests the new M3 V8 vs RS4 and this time he dont prefer the M3 over the RS4.
So he like the previous M3 better than the new M3 V8.

I will wait until some more of the American and British mags weigh in....
As far as the C63, it doesnt have an MT, therefore it is disqualified IMO .

Yeah but by all accounts the new M3 is better than the E46 CS model. Stop your madness, if given a change to test drive one you take it, I'm pretty damn sure it won't disappoint. I believe the poor reviews are because of the much improved C63! Mercedes crushed the C55 with there new model, where BMW merely improved the M3 imo.
