Gearing does play a factor, but it is the flexibility of the engine that allows the gearing (without suffering the disadvantages of shorter gearing, which the M5 doesn't).

It is no new facelifted S AMG. It is an older one with a bodykit modification by SGA. But it is at least a real AMG, as you can see, that it has AMG-brakes.
