E-Class (W212/C207/A207) [Official] The new E 63 AMG with 4MATIC and as S-Model

The Mercedes-Benz W212 is the fourth generation of the E-Class range. Body styles: sedan/saloon (W212), estate/wagon (S212). Coupé and convertible models of the W212 E-Class generation are W204 C-Class based and known as the C207 and A207, replacing the CLK-Class (C209 and A209) coupé and cabriolet. Production: 2009–2016. Predecessor: W211 E-Class. Successor: W213 E-Class.
Great idea. A lot would take that option here in Switzerland. It's considered quite krass and lower class to drive something so bling.

Amazing!! Hope they'll offer it with the classic grille after all then!

No doubt in an effort to protect the social fabric in Germany, AMG will provide a convenient solution to this predicament—a solution that does not involve a performance downgrade. Instead, we are told by AMG CEO Ola Källenius, the company soon will offer a Business Line option. This is a package that must be ordered through AMG’s Performance Studio, bringing the styling of the E63 AMG in line with the more pedestrian level of a standard E-class and doing away with the quad exhaust. The option won’t be offered in the U.S. as Källenius says the desire to tone down exterior appearances is an “almost exclusively German phenomenon.”

Disappointing that the 4matic models are not available in RHD markets. MB really needs to overcome this oversight in future 4matic models.

Sounds like it is coming to the states though, very tempting for New England winters.

This car suits the road so much, so nicely!!
I had my doubts about this car in the beginning... They r gone!!

They would need to design whole new front subframe and suspension to fit the diff and steering column, so it is probably just a little more work than they want to try.

The driver in the video is Karl Wendlinger, he was part of the former AMG young driver program with Schumacher and H-H Frentzen. He drove for Sauber-Mercedes in F1 and then in various categories. He won the GT1 championship a few years ago and now drives the SLS GT3.

The young boy might be his son.

Mercedes E 63 AMG Black Series under development-report

Company also considering a C63 AMG 4MATIC

AMG’s senior powertrain engineering manager, Jorg Gindele, has revealed the company is testing a C 63 AMG 4MATIC.
Speaking to Auto Express, Gindele said the company has already built a prototype and he knows this "because it’s my car.” Gindele withheld details but said the model is currently being evaluated and could be approved for production.
Gindele also confirmed AMG is developing an all-wheel drive version of the next-generation S-Class. He didn't say much about the model but it is likely the S 63 AMG 4MATIC.

More interesting, Gindele said the company will offer an E 63 AMG Black Series towards the end of the current generation's lifecycle. There's no word on what will power the model, but we wouldn't be surprised if it is more powerful the E 63 AMG S which has a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine with 585 HP (430 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.
