Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles. A 4-door sedan (F93 model code, marketed as 'Gran Coupe') body style was added to the lineup in October 2019. pretty mean looking. I like.

Wtf is that rear diffuser.. looks like a 8 stories tall wedding cake.

Race cars are generally pretty exciting to look at, especially GT3 cars, they all look pretty god damned awesome, but this one is bland as bland can be, it's such a boring design, since the race car looks like shit I don't hold out much hope for the road car looking very attractive.

There's just one thing I won't be able to get out of my head.
The BMW M8. As in BMW Mate. :bored:

So, basically the car looks nothing like the concept. A pitty, since the concept could pass as a Ferrari 812 competitor. This looks more like what it is, a rebadged 6er. Still looks remarkably good in my eyes. I love the kidneys.

The rear seems to be quite similar between the coupes of the brand. The X4 and this 8er have almost the same rearlights. Something that we might have to expect as well from the next 4er and X6.

Everything looks really good, let's see how the production model ends up looking.

I would be careful about drawing too many conclusions about the looks of the production car, based on the race car - as I've pointed out before, they really aren't required to share a great deal in the looks department - certainly not enough to maintain the subtleties of the concept car even if they were to end up in production (which granted, some won't).

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
