The BMW M5 is a high-performance variant of the BMW 5 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. M5 models have been produced for every generation of the 5 Series since 1984, with occasional gaps in production (1995 to 1998, 2023 to 2024). Official website: BMW M
My god they do too much talking and stupid shit for me to watch their videos. Just get on with the driving. This was one of their worst videos yet.

It’s one of those reviews where you don’t need to watch it to know which car would come up tops.
What is striking, is the instant change in Matt's face and tactile perception when getting on the M5CS, it seems that he has just tried three minivans and we are talking about the best exhibitors of the best brands in the world.

"The run reveals a 0-60 mph time of only 2.81 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 10.8 seconds, beating the factory numbers by a significant margin. We always knew this car was fast, but this is a staggering discovery."

I just saw it and I was going to post it, I thought that given so much enthusiasm it gives a lot of curiosity to try it and if what they are doing with that M8 "CSL" prototype is similar to this, it will be a great goal

Still the best looking sedan in the segment.
It is very similar to the previous one, and even if it is in the top 3 and it is a beautiful car, this generation in particular lacks in my opinion the Wow factor and yields the first place to the Mercedes E-class, which is simply a more nice and complete design, one of the best sedans I have ever seen.
(I didn't see any A6 IRL for comparison).

M8 CSL Prototype? If you are referring to the white 8 series mule with red kidneys, which has been spotted at the ring and which also crashed there ... this is no M8 CSL prototype! It is a test vehicle for some aggregate/parts testing ... but not a M8 CSL mule at all!

Will it be a CS then?
Is it not very strange that they are making permormance parts for this car so many years after its launch??, when it is normal that they are launched simultaneously?
I don't quite like that tale of the new "parts" unless it is part of the upcoming facelift, but the red lights .........

Yep. I think, a M8 CS might eventually come! But this white test vehicle based on the 8 series platform seems NOT to be a mule for an upcoming 8 series derivate (e.g. M8 CS) but just a mule for testing some tech for a complete different car ... (hint: read comments in the bimmerpost thread from e.g. user lemetier).

I thought about that, but if it were parts of chassis or suspension, engine etc. I would understand, but a whole aerodynamic package to be used in another totally different car? I never saw that, nor do I think that is how it is done

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
