I can't understand a word here, but it's a really good look at the car. I must say it does look better, looks more expensive and imposing.

The revised front end with extra chrome grill and bottom intake looks a lot less angular and less sporty than the current front end. Maybe more majestic but I dont think it looks any more prettier at all.

I do like the rear styling and the really nice wheels.

They really did put in an effort to save this design. The tech and quality of the A8 deserved better and this is about as good as it's going to get. Well until we see the S8.

A generally successful facelift, I'd say. The design of the D5 was always sound, albeit a bit less adventurous and arguably somewhat bland. The mild makeover makes the car a bit more eye-catching. The D5 wears its age well. The "Horch" may go a bit overboard regarding the shiny tinnef, but the "standard" SWB sedan/SWB S8 are subtlely elegant segment contestants.

Yes, some images can aggravate exterior design deficits from the base of the A-pillars forwards. The D5s' weakest visual point, I believe.

Too much like an S4, I really didn’t respect them downgrade the design so much…

Personally, I'd state the same regarding the exterior as well-were it not for that unfortunate area in front of the base of the A-pillars.

Yes, is sure does.

Well, I decided very recently that I will not order a W223 (maybe the FL in 4 years time or just skipping this generation all together, don't know yet). I am going to testdrive the facelifted A8, but will wait for the new 7er to see how that turns out. After that a decision will be made.
