Phantom [Official] Rolls-Royce Phantom (VIII)

Rolls-Royce has used the Phantom name on full-sized luxury cars and limousines since 1925, making it the longest used car model nameplate in automotive history. In the 20th century, the Rolls-Royce Phantom was a very low volume, hand-built limousine, which in its first four generations was custom coachbuilt to the customer's requests, and sometimes extravagant desires. Whilst automobile manufacturing over time became more mechanised and prolific, and vehicles from other manufacturers could be built in greater numbers and at lower prices, the Phantoms remained hand-built, and production of individual cars only began once the order was placed. The use of the name "Phantom" is a long tradition of naming Rolls-Royce models after ghosts or spirits.
Not to mention the Bentley version of the same car (Arange) was they one to have at the time.
Why doesn’t Bentley have a halo product like the Mulsanne? Surely there is a demand? Both Maybach and Bentley need a solid halo limo… although the Phantom is more like a large family SUV in size and stature

They pretty much know they can’t compete with the Phantom at this point. Either could build such a car but the $$$$ involved rules that out I’m sure. Now once the switch to EVs is complete I expect both to do something truly high end again.

The electric Phantom will no doubt be on a higher end still. Maybach has stated that they’re wanting to introduce more coachbuilt cars that aren’t just an extra trim level and Bentley has said that their first EV will be the Mulsanne replacement but won’t be a 3 box design but a large coupe (think Spectre competitor).

But isn't a Spectre basically an EV Phantom coupe? It seems to be a Phantom coupe replacement instead of Wraith replacement...

It is the replacement to the Phantom coupe as you said and the Wraith/Dawn do not have any replacement as of yet.

The difference (I think) between the Spectre and the Phantom EV will probably the most “complete” EV Rolls Royce since the Spectre was “only” their first go at it.

Phantom EV will most likely introduce even more innovative features and technical innovation over Spectre which will most likely include things like 800V instead of the 400V on Spectre and NACS instead of DC fast charging (along with all the innovations in suspension, comfort, insolation as we’ve come to expect from Rolls).

Or maybe I’m just a biased Rolls fanatic 😂.

Phantom EV seems like a long way off considering the lifespan of the Phantom models. I expect like 100k just for some solid state battery tech or something else crazy.

No one knows this until it happens. The products will be the deciding factor.

This Mansory edition is a matter of taste, but the interior and the boot is exquisitely hand trimmed. Beautiful leathers and trim panels. There is hardly any black plastic in this car except for the cheap looking column stalks and steering adjustment switch.

Mansory have cleared up their act. Some of the recent designs are classier than 5 years ago.

Mansory is the most horrible and awful tuner out there. Wash your mouth. Whatever they touch is ruined.
Does this not look good or at least acceptable?

Celebrating "Goldfinger's" 60th anniversary, Rolls-Royce has crafted a one-off Phantom inspired by the iconic 1937 Phantom III driven by Bond villain Auric Goldfinger.

I think it looks great in this colour selection.
