911 [Official] Porsche 911 Turbo & Turbo S (991) facelift

The Porsche 911 model series (pronounced Nine Eleven or in German: Neunelf) is a family of German two-door, high performance rear-engine sports cars, introduced in September 1964 by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany.
Wow the Turbo is fast, the Turbo S is going to be mega fast, maybe 2.7sec to 100km/h and 8.8sec to 200km/h!

Prophecy not fullfilled

I think something is wrong with this particular 991.2 Turbo. Slower than Gen1 up to 300km/h smells fishy...

Most likely that testcar was a little bit healthy... the 991.1 Turbo Cabriolet they've tested managed 9,9 s to 200 kph with a measured power of 584 hp. Sadly we have no info about the 991.1 Coupé's real power.

Probably it was on the same level as this new testcar. Also, 0,5 s up to 300 kph is not a real difference, if we consider the minor aero-changes on the car after the facelift. :)

The idea is that 991.1 Turbo was a little bit slower 250-300kmh, due to thermal issues and Porsche wanting to secure any problems.

All the reliable sources insist that these things are further fixed in the 991.2 Turbo. That’s why; I want to see some other tests before making conclusions…

THE 2017 PORSCHE 911 TURBO S IS MOTOR TREND’S HARDEST-LAUNCHING CAR EVER TESTED

Although two other street-legal hypercars are faster in a 0–60-mph sprint, Motor Trendfound the 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S to be the quickest vehicle from 0 to 30, 0 to 40, and 0 to 50 mph in acceleration testing.

On November 2 at Auto Club Speedway, in Fontana, California—Motor Trend’s routine testing site—the 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S reached those early split times in less elapsed time than anything previously tested by the magazine.

Only the 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari and 2015 Porsche 918 Spider have been quicker to 60 mph from a standstill. Still, both vehicles had slower initial acceleration than the 911 Turbo S (see chart below).

And although the 911 Turbo S’ maximum 580 hp (at 6,750 rpm) and 553 lb-ft of torque (at 2,250 rpm in overboost) might trail some other supercars, its relatively svelte 3,557-pound curb weight, rear-engine location, and all-wheel drive enable it to get power to the pavement that much more quickly.

The paintjob and numerous stickers might not be to everyone's taste, but there's no denying that Wimmer has really gone to town with this 911 Turbo S Convertible.
560 PS (552 HP), the tuner has pushed its output all the way up to 840 PS (828 HP) and 860 Nm (634 lb-ft) of torque by installing two larger turbochargers and new pistons, connecting rods, fuel pump, intake manifold and throttle valve, among others.

The seriously pumped-up 911 sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.6 seconds, reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.4 seconds and 300 km/h (186 mph) in 17.9 seconds. Given a long enough straight, this Porsche 911 Turbo S Convertible will eventually reach 364 km/h (226 mph), which makes it faster and more powerful than the limited edition Ferrari F12tdf.

The asking price for squeezing this amount of power is €52,500 ($55,430), while an additional €5,850 ($6,177) will get you a KW club sport chassis and, for an extra €6,500 ($6,863), they will modify the PDK dual-clutch gearbox, too. All in, it comes down to €310,000 ($327,300) - but the colorful vinyl wrap comes for free...
