I hope they improve interior quality on the .2
Would be a big sway factor for someone like me
The 991.2 was impeccable
I wonder if general quality/ reliability from a mechanical perspective etc is significantly worse on the 992

Yesterday I saw this beautiful Turbo S...

Footage of Debono's reckless driving was captured on camera by Northamptonshire Police

A man caught driving his Porsche at 162 miles per hour, believed to be one of the highest speeds ever recorded by police, has lost his licence.

Christopher Debono, 62, of Windingbrook Lane in Northampton, was clocked doing more than twice the national speed limit on the A43 Corby bypass in Northamptonshire on May 19.

He was charged with driving at a speed in excess of 70mph and entered a guilty plea during court proceedings.

Before magistrates in Wellingborough on Friday September 8, Debono was disqualified from driving for six months - the maximum ban a magistrates’ court can impose for speeding.

He was also fined £1,000, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £400 plus £90 costs.

Speaking afterwards, Safer Roads Team manager Matthew O’Connell said: "The A43 Corby bypass is subject to the national speed limit of 70mph, but this driver was detected at well over twice that.

"Excess speed is one of the fatal five road risks, vastly increasing the chances of a serious collision, and the consequences of a crash at over 160mph do not bear thinking about.

"Our mobile enforcement vans are deployed across Northamptonshire to detect motoring offences at sites where we have data to show there is an increased risk to road users, and I’m glad our team have been able to bring to justice a driver who on that day cannot have had a thought to his own, or anyone else’s, safety.

"Everyone has a right to get home unharmed, and we are committed to improving road safety across our county by taking action against irresponsible drivers, as this case shows."

Looks like he got a move on there!

Except a Gentleman driving an Audi RS6 put circa 40MPH more on top and from memory whilst recording the feat with camera phone in hand, LOL!

Reckless, negligent, dangerous and very much unjustifiable driving. But, f#ck me, that’s some impressive speed. Turbo S is a missile.

Agreed at those speeds of someone pulls out or whatever the situation there's no room to do anything or time, it's lethal.

Related a Nissan GTR hit 192MPH again in this County and he went to jail for 2 years and got a 10 year driving ban a massive fine too. His daughter was punished too for apparently "egging" him on licence loss etc.

Anyway the Porsche driver will be serving time, how much we will see, on top of everything else.

How do we ever survive when doing 200+ mph on 2 lane motorways in Germany.

160mph, is quick, but not that quick, for alot of cars its a chilled cruising speed, and with proper brakes to match the power and a alert driver it isnt even a big deal.

Its only when hitting 195+ mph that ive thought ok this is really quick now, and the way you blow past other road users that ive said this is irresponsible.

Ive done 205mph once with plenty in reserve left to go faster but that was enough for me. 200mph ticked off the box, not a speed you would want a blow out at.

But 160mph, people are doing that everyday on UK roads and more so on german roads.

Excessive speed is accountable for 11% of uk road traffic deaths…
