My Lord, the GT2!! Now that's a car I like!!! Can't wait to see more of it instead of this rather dull and ugly Turbo.

GT3 and GT2 is where it's at

Yeah, that driveshaft running underneath the car to the front wheels really makes the Turbo so much uglier than the GT2:rolleyes:.

They may drive differently but they look almost identical (except for the rear wing which we haven't seen on the GT2 yet).

Oh c'mon :D That Autocar image is a render. They will not look identical, no GT2 ever looks identical to a Turbo.

Or have we seen images of the next GT2 that I am not aware of?
No way the GT2 will have the same exhaust as a Turbo, for example.

Agreed. And they will have their own unique bodykit.

And you're sure that this bodykit, that you haven't seen, will transform the 991 Turbo from a car that you consider ugly into a GT2 that you like.

Yes. The regular Carrera S/4S and GT3 are stunning, and I think the GT2 will be too. The bumpers of the Turbo, nor the exhaust, are to my liking.
Now if we mix the good parts of the Turbo with the good parts of the GT3, and we could have an amazing GT2! Twin exhaust (akra?), nice spoiler and that sweet looking air vent on the sides...I can't wait!!

'Ugly' is of course hperbole, but I do find the Turbo to be awkward somehow. Tech and performance (and interior) are sick of course.
Maybe that will change when I see one on the streets here. Won't be long before I see one driving around I'm sure.

@Sunny that is the new me. I can never justify such hefty price tag no matter how good the new 991 Turbo is. It just isn't cost effective or wise thing to do for for young people with good income.

Yeah, that would be my second choice :D (well Cayman S clearly) But I'd rather have a GTR than a Cayman, for the sportscar. And the new Range Rover is a dream too!

Of the choices they present, I would go with #2. By my own volition, it would be an used 997.2 GT3 (100k) and a used 1M (60k). Or maybe E90 M3 for 4 doors.

^ LOL no that doesn't count! I can think of a few combos myself then :D

Well actually your 997.2 GT3 and 1M sounds pretty much perfect!! Haha
