So how many of you did not realize that neither car is the new model?

Agree. But there would be the possibility to paint all that plastics (rear bumper too) in a nice contrast colour; for example you take a bright mineral green if you would have chosen british racing green for the car.
I'm not warm with the gauges in the outer instrument circles, more classical analogue designs would be more graceful. Not sure, whethe...
I think the orange blinkers are there on the cars because the car is shown in the North American market, for the rest of the world the blinkers will be clear.

Now that they have that horizontal light bar at the back for both the Carrera S and Carrera 4S have they gotten rid of any visual cue to differentiate the two?

HUH ?!?

The 912 is being REPLACED ?!?

I need to calm down with some music and listen to my new Country Joe McDonald "Fish Cheer" 45".

Damn, it looks delicious!
Very modern and somehow analog looking, wow!

The only thing I don't like is the door panels, a bit flat, I think 991 had better door panels.

I really want this car.

The shelf style interior reminds me of Lexus.

I know it's an iconic design but it looks too similar to the 991.2 specially the front, i know i wouldn't tell the difference looking at my rear view mirror. Hope the Turbo S is aggressive enough.

I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t instantly warmed to this design. It looks fine...but not necessarily an improvement in my eyes. The interior also looks quite busy.

Nope, I'm with you on that. And those bumpers look absolutely ridiculous.

The front and rear bumpers look like the bean-counters having their way. All 992's will have the same bumpers, what change for each model would be the black plastic valance that house the driving lights, indicator lights, and aero bits at the front; and different tail-pipes and airflow outlets in the rear.

I don't think this is an all new model, but an extensive face lift version of the 991, nonetheless, it is an informative video to watch.

I like that little gear selector. Opens up the centre console space nicely. So, now to put the PDK in manual mode you press the M button behind the selector stalk as a opposed to currently knocking the gear lever to the left.
Also, park is activated by a similar button labeled "P" leaving the gear selector purely for R, N and D selection.

911 is a rugged type of sports car, the bumpers are made like that on purpose. They can make a front with more glitz but it's not the point of this car. If you want that you can have AMG GT.
